Environmental Hydrodynamics and Sediment Transport


CEHL focuses on the development and application of oceanographic and hydraulic computer models to predict circulation and transport in lakes, reservoirs, rivers, estuaries and coastal oceans. This includes the application of one-, two- and three-dimensional hydrodynamic and sediment transport models, wave models, and other models including visualization, to problems associated with the following areas:


        •Hydrodynamic & Sediment Transport Modeling Studies

        •Studies of Circulation in Lakes, Estuaries, Reservoirs, and Riverine Systems

        •Saltwater Intrusion Studies

        •Development and Propagation of Density Currents in Coastal Systems

        •Thermal Discharge Analysis/ Hydrothermal Modeling
